> An open-source uptime and server monitoring app with incident history and status pages.

An open-source uptime and server monitoring app with incident history and status pages.

This page describes the Levelrail template for Checkmate (Monitoring). It deploys the services below as one Docker Compose app on your own server. Project site: [https://docs.checkmate.so](https://docs.checkmate.so).

Recommended memory: about 1024 MiB.

## Services, ports and volumes

| Service | Image | Container ports | Volumes |
| - | - | - | - |
| `checkmate` | `ghcr.io/bluewave-labs/checkmate-backend-mono-multiarch:v3.2.0` | 52345 | none |
| `mongo` | `mongo:7` | none | `checkmate_mongo_data -> /data/db` |

## Environment variables

| Service | Variable | Value |
| - | - | - |
| `checkmate` | `DB_CONNECTION_STRING` | Preset in the template |
| `checkmate` | `JWT_SECRET` | Generated at deploy |
| `checkmate` | `UPTIME_APP_API_BASE_URL` | Preset in the template |
| `checkmate` | `UPTIME_APP_CLIENT_HOST` | Preset in the template |

Passwords and keys marked as generated are created for you when the app is deployed and stored as secrets. Values are not shown here.

## Deploy Checkmate with Levelrail

In the dashboard, open **Apps**, choose **New app**, then **Browse templates**, and select Checkmate. Review the Compose body and deploy.

With the CLI:

```bash theme={"dark"}
levelrail-cli templates deploy checkmate --name my-checkmate
```

See the [service template catalog](/templates-and-registry) for how templates work, and [Getting started](/getting-started) if you have not installed Levelrail yet.
